It was in that very joint, in fact, that he met Madison's other favorite poker son, Phil Hellmuth, and while Phil went on to, you know, other things, Mark decided that he liked his home-away-from-home game so much that he bought the bar and has owned it ever since.

Poker Biography

Mark Kroon’s passion for poker started back in 1998 when he won the very first tournament he ever played, the $1000 Buy-in at the Four Queens Poker Classic, Las Vegas. That, and the fact he grew up playing cash games with Phil Hellmuth in their hometown of Madison, WI, helped spark his love for the game.

From the early days of online poker, Mark was on board. After dominating the online poker world for several years by using his loose aggressive style of play, in 2004, Mark was approached by UltimateBet to become a pro for the site. He soon became the infamous "P0ker H0". It has given him the opportunity to travel the world, meet some wonderful people, and allowed him to branch out to teaching poker.

Mark’s vast experience and unique knowledge of the online and live game help give him the perspective to effectively teach by giving in-depth insight to the differences of online and live poker. He will help poker players take their game to the next level!
